Objects and commodities contribute to how we remember past events and people. Establishing a personal narrative in relation to brands, logos, and icons fabricates our memories and attraction to the past. Nostalgia and multiple identities influenced by commodity culture inform my soft sculptures, prints, zines, paintings, and installation work. I work with appropriated and manipulated imagery associated with personal narratives of identity, family dynamics, and loss. Much of my work uses screen printing to emphasize the heavy and repeated presence of products and marketing media in everyday life, environment, and thinking.
